Early morning wake up call (7am, that is early for me) and off we go to McCarran International Airport to pick up our rental car. A fabulous Mustang GT Convertible

First stop… the convenient store…. stocked up on water and sunscreen. We will be driving through the desert.

A short 4o minutes drive from Las Vegas past Boulder City we get to The Hoover Dam.

Swarming with tourist, it is still a place that should be visited and admired.

If like us you are driving there, it is not necessary to park in the first Multi storey car park which is in the information centre. Drive right across the Dam, enjoy the breath taking view and just park up in the free open air car park.
